Your emergency demands an Emergency Department equipped with the latest technology and staffed with professionals with the experience to use it. The Emergency Department of KDMC is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with highly qualified physicians, nurses and technical personnel.

All emergency care personnel are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS). A majority of the registered nurses have attained board certification in Emergency Nursing. Special training includes certification in Trauma Nursing Care (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Care (ENPC).

Paramedic ambulance services are also available 24 hours a day to residents of Lincoln County and surrounding areas through the hospital's Advanced Life Support team of EMS professionals. The EMS team has specialized training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Pre-Hospital Trauma to meet the medical need of the residents in the community. A helicopter landing site is located behind the Emergency Room is facilitate immediate transport when necessary.
